Last June, the Green Key awards were announced, to reward good environmental and social practices in the field of tourism.

Mercearia Bio stores in Portimão and Lagos renovated the Green Key in the Restaurants category. Since 2019, Mercearia Bio has received this distinction for the good practices it develops in the area of environmental sustainability, but also social.

We have been trying to continually improve the impact that the activity we carry out has on the environment, largely thanks to our Customers, who motivate us to go further and further, but also thanks to the entire Team that is always looking for new practices that can  be friendlier to the environment and also to the community in which we operate.

This year we had a neighbor of the Portimão store who had an initiative to raise funds for the most disadvantaged families and individuals in the city.

In Lagos, we are part of a pioneering project that aims to reduce waste and food waste.

And so we intend to continue for the coming years!
