The opening day of Mercearia Bio Café Lagos has finally arrived!

The opening will be on Monday, April 4th. After several delays, setbacks and mishappenings, because we always depend on a set of Partners and often things do not happen as we have planned.
We are going to open Mercearia Bio Café Lagos, but in fact the space is more than just the opening of a new store and that fact can, to a certain extent, help to justify the successive delays in the opening process.
It will shelter our warehouse, where we receive all produce and goods from producers and suppliers and where we receive, prepare and ship all the orders from the online store.
We will also have our workspace here for all administrative and financial tasks, the management of all areas in which Mercearia Bio intervenes, purchasing management, marketing, customer support service, the management of our people. In short, we are going to concentrate here, in a common work area, all the management of Mercearia Bio.
The space is very generous as a whole and, in parallel with our Companheira warehouse, in Portimão, where we have been for the past 15 years, from 2007 to the present moment, there is also plenty of space, as we had in Portimão when we started. Which means that we have many other projects that will fit in here and that we want to develop.
For this reason, it will be a soft opening, where we will be adding new features and projects, depending on the resources and our availability to proceed.
We are all, the Team, tired, because the last few days have been days of changing facilities and preparations for the opening, always with the online operation and the Mercearia Bio Café Portimão working, with several forced absences in the Team in between, but above all with a great desire to take this step and thus open new horizons for all our current and future Customers, Partners and Team.
In times that are difficult and uncertain, we feel great motivation and joy for having the opportunity to innovate, create, work to be more sustainable and continue to tread paths, in some cases where we will be pioneers and in others where we will follow the good paths and practices that we learn from the Team, Customers, Partners and other Companies, in this process of growth and constant improvement of practices, which are, after all, part of our family and business genetics.
