Beetroot Burgers
Anyone who knows me, knows that I am unable to simply follow a recipe, I
always like to reformulate, change or add something and take the
associated risk in doing so. And it's not because I don't think the
recipe was complete, but because I like to get my personal stamp on it .
It can always go wrong, but then this was how penicillin was discovered
So, I found myself, again changing another recipe.
BEET HAMBURGERS, RED BEANS AND SUNFLOWER SEEDS
Rich
in magnesium, potassium, fiber and protein and, above all, very tasty,
they are an excellent alternative to conventional animal protein
burgers.
In a processor, grind 1 can of red beans with 1 small beet, 35g of
flaxseed (or ground flaxseed), 50g of almonds, 50g of bread crumbs
(optional), salt, pepper and garlic powder.
After you crush it all, add 50g of sunflower seeds (to give a crunchie) and shape your hamburgers.
Bake at 180C for 15min and they are ready to serve.
